Cyberpunk 2077 Item Upgrading Guide
Item upgrading is a key component to maximizing the power of your gear. It allows you to add extra bonus stats on top of the value of your basic item.
Each upgrade template comes with a set of options that can be set up through the GUI. These options include upgrading reference and chances of upgrading.
Upgrade components
As part of the 2.0 update, the upgrade system for the armor and weapons in Cyberpunk has been improved. Upgrade components are available throughout Night City, and the item that you want to upgrade must have an upgrade slot available. The game will show an overview of the expected stats for the item after upgrading. It will also display the component or material needed. If you don't have the required level of component or resource to upgrade the item, then the button will read "Blocked."
